Gary and Glenna FlokstraGary and Glenna Flokstra

Gerard (Gary) & Glenna Flokstra III served as appointed missionaries with the Assemblies of God World Missions for 19 years.  They have been involved in overseas ministries for over 33 years. Gary began working with book and resource distribution to missionaries and overseas schools stateside in 1998 at Africa Library Services.  He was director of that ministry from April of 2000 until December 2003.

Their mission adventures began in 1980 in Brussels, Belgium.  After spending one year at Continental Theological Seminary in Brussels they served for ten years at Asia Pacific Theological Seminary in Baguio City, Philippines. Both assignments included library development, book and resource distribution, and library training for students.

While in the Philippines, Gary started an internship program to train librarians who worked in theological libraries.  At one time there were 13 librarians in various schools that had gone through the training.   He was president of the Philippine Theological Library Association (PTLA) and founding president of the Baguio-Benquet Theological Library Association.

Both Glenna and Gary continue to travel overseas to provide library training, evaluations, and support to schools around the world.

Gary holds a BA in Bible from Central Bible College, Springfield, Missouri and a Master’s in Library Science from the University of Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Glenna holds a BA in Christian Education from Central Bible College and has completed 12 hours towards a Master’s in Pastoral Counseling. In addition, Glenna has a diverse background in managerial skills, accounting, and computer programs and systems gained over the last 14 years in a plethora of training settings and assignments.

In their spare time, Glenna and Gary mentor one-on-one and teach mentoring.  They are regularly active in their local church volunteering in various ministries.  They enjoy the outdoors by camping, hiking, and traveling.  They have been married for 36 years and have two children: G.J (the Fourth) and Bianca.  GJ manages a local used book store and is married to a delightful lady by the name of Melissa.  They have given Gary & Glenna two awesome granddaughters, Keturah & Khloe.  Bianca is currently serving with World Vision International out of their DC office as Program Management Officer, Food Security and Livelihoods and Resource Development and Management International Programs Group.  She was recently engaged to Victor and the family is looking forward to an upcoming wedding.

Dana Joy Cavallaro
Dana Joy CavallaroBoard Member
Dana is a spirit-filled minister, doctoral student, and conference speaker who has been in ministry for over 30 years. Her vision is to help people find their identity in Christ, and to realize that a life of freedom and wholeness is possible through the power of the Holy Spirit as set forth in Isaiah 61:1-3.

Ordained Assemblies of God minister and credentialed with the Assemblies of God since 1983, she is also a teacher/certified trainer with Leadership Training International.

Dana’s education includes a B.A. Evangel University, and an M.Div. Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. In addition, Dana is currently a Doctoral Candidate at Regent University.

During her spare time, Dana is a dynamic conference and retreat speaker. She worked as Associate Pastor for 11 years before taking on the role of full time motherhood and home school teacher. Her claim to fame is that she met Gary and Glenna Flokstra in 1980 while serving on a mission’s assignment to Continental Bible College in Brussels, Belgium. Little did she know that their paths would cross around the world and they would work together again. She and Dan believe that God has blessed Gary and Glenna with a dream to impact the world with the resources necessary to transform lives for Jesus Christ. They feel privileged to be a part of this great opportunity.

Dana has been married to Dan since 1983, and they have two sons, Robbie and Nathan. The family enjoys the water and warm summers.

Dr. Barbara (Cavaness) Parks

Dr. Barbara Parks is a Missionary Educator with the Assemblies of God World Missions. She serves as the resident educator in West Africa, Indonesia, Philippines, and Singapore, and as an adjunct teacher in Mongolia, Ethiopia, Togo, India, Singapore, the Philippines, Malaysia, New Zealand, and others.

Barbara is also an Adjunct Professor at Evangel University and the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary, both in Springfield, MO.

She is the co-author of three books: God’s Women—Then and Now; Unbelievable, Yet True; and This End Up!

Barbara has earned a B.A. from Central Bible College, an M.A. in Cross Cultural Studies from Assemblies of God Graduate School (AGTS), an M.Div. from Fuller Theological Seminary, and a Ph.D. from Fuller Theological Seminary.

Barbara is married to Paul, and both are privileged as missionary educators to continue to “entrust to reliable people” many Bible truths about women in ministry and biblical strategies for engaging Muslims. Their ministry regularly takes them around the world.

Carrol Deal
Carrol DealBoard Member
Carrol is Director of Development and Resource at Southern Missouri District of the Assemblies of God. He is an international church planter and pastor currently assisting in church plants and Bible school development in Central Africa. He also serves as a non-resident missionary to Equatorial Guinea.

Carrol and his wife Gayle have been appointed missionaries with the Assemblies of God since May 1985, serving in Equatorial Guinea, Africa from October 1987 – March 2013.

In Equatorial Guinea Carrol served as the general superintendent for thirteen years, and later served as the vice-superintendent and missions director.

Prior to their missions appointment, Carrol and Gayle pastored Vienna Assembly of God in Vienna, MO and Calvary Assembly of God in Rolla, MO. Carrol also served as associate pastor at South Side Assembly of God in St. Louis, MO.

Carrol’s education includes a B.A. in Psychology at Southeast Missouri State University and an M.A. in Missiology at AGTS.

Carrol and Gayle have two sons and four grandchildren.

Jeff Hartensveld

As AGWM regional director for Asia Pacific, Jeff Hartensveld gives direction and oversight to more than 350 missionaries and missionary associates serving in 40 countries and territories across Asia and the Pacific Islands.

Jeff grew up in Wayne, New Jersey. He received Christ as his Savior at age 15 at Calvary Temple Assembly of God, his home church. The following year he was baptized in the Holy Spirit. From that point forward, he never considered any other pursuit in life than serving as a missionary.

After high school Jeff enrolled at Valley Forge Christian College. While in college he met his wife, Liz, who also sensed a call to missions as a teenager. The couple married in 1987.

To gain ministry experience, Jeff served as associate pastor at an Assemblies of God church in Glenolden, Pennsylvania. In 1989, the Hartensvelds were approved as missionaries to Indonesia, and they arrived on the field in September 1990.

The Hartensvelds spent a year in language school to learn Bahasa Indonesian. During the remainder of their first term they lived in Malang, where they taught in the Bible school and ministered in church planting and child evangelism. During this time, Jeff also learned basic communication in Javanese.

Soon after their second term began, the family moved to Surabaya, where they planted International Christian Assembly. The church has grown to 1,200 in attendance and maintains a strong missions focus. Ministries of the church include outreaches at a garbage dump and an orphanage.

When a massive earthquake and tsunami struck Indonesia in 2004, Jeff assisted the international relief effort. For two years, he organized outreach teams to the hardest hit areas, and the work they accomplished continue to make both a physical and spiritual difference for struggling communities.

In 2012, after 23 years in Indonesia, Jeff was named director of AGWM Mobilization and served there for 5 years Mobilizing our missionaries to the field.

Jeff has a bachelor’s degree in Bible with a missions emphasis from Valley Forge Christian College in Phoenixville, Pennsylvania, and a master’s degree in biblical literature from Assemblies of God Theological Seminary in Springfield, Missouri. He and Liz have three daughters: Leah, Kelly and Rebekah.

Craig Stoll

Craig Stoll has over 25 years of experience in the Christian retail industry, primarily involving buying and promoting Christian books and Bibles. He currently serves as Sales Promotion/Category Development Manager for Christian Book Distributors (CBD) in Peabody, MA.

He has been actively involved in helping to provide books and other resources to Majority World Bible colleges, seminaries, and pastoral training organizations since 2007.

Craig and his wife Denice live in the beautiful Seacoast region of New Hampshire. They have three children and one grandchild.

Dan Cavallaro

Dan is currently employed by Isilon, a division of EMC Corporation.
He received a BA in Finance and Economics from Bentley College and an MBA from Babson College.

Dan is actively involved in volunteer ministry in his local church. He is married to Dana and they have two children.

Brion Lamar

Brion Lamar works for the General Council of the Assemblies of God in the office of IT Web Development as Programmer Analyst I. He has a Certificate of Achievement in Computer Information Science and a Certificate of Specialization in Computer Information Science. Brion also has an Associate Degree of Applied Science in Computer Information Science.

Brion is married to Paula. An avid golfer, Brion almost shot par on a golf course once! Brion is very active in volunteer ministry and is regularly active in his local church as a Camera Operator for Live Production.

Neal Ruhter

Neal Ruhter is the manager of both the industrial and commercial business lines for Tennant Company for this region.

He is a graduate of the University of California at Fullerton with a BA in Business Administration. Neal is the recipient of many sales awards from Tennant Company over his 29 years with them.

Neal has also served on the board for West Covina Christian School, (West Covina, California) as board member and chairman. He has also served at Bethany Baptist Church (West Covina, California) as Deacon and Chairman of the Board.

Neal is active in volunteer ministry and currently serves on the James River Church security team. He also co-leads a Life Group for James River Church.

Neal is married to Linda and has raised four children, all who, along with their spouses, have a commitment to the Lord and are walking with Him. Neal has supported his spouse in her ministry position at James River Church for over 10 years, and in additional positions of ministry in other states. He has walked with the Lord since April 1974, been married for 38 years, and is the proud grandparent of nine grandchildren.

Phil Vice

Phil Vice is the owner of Bricks & Minifigs, a new and used LEGO store, in Springfield. He previously worked overseas for eleven years in humanitarian emergency response. In his early career, he worked for over a decade in the used book industry in Springfield, Missouri while also completing a BA at Evangel University and an MBA at Missouri State University. It was during this time that he had the opportunity to regularly collaborate with the ministry that Gary and Glenna Flokstra continue to grow.

He spent his formative years as a missionary kid in Indonesia before moving to Springfield at the age of fifteen. Phil is married to Tiffany, an x-ray technologist, and they currently live in Springfield.
